What version of PerformanceTest are you using.
You say this happened all of a sudden. What were the previouos results? Was there something changed on the system around the time the results changed? e.g. a new device driver. Has there been any impact on other 3D applications. e.g. 3D Games.

I'm using the 7.0 evaluation version. when I say all the sudden, I mean because I recently changed video cards. I bought this new NVIDIA in favor of an old integrated video card and thought it would be better, but so far its not really seeming to do very well.

Yeah, all the games I have been trying have been going rather slow, even with graphics set pretty low. This doesn't seem quite right because, although my computer isnt a powerhouse, it's not a slouch either.

Some of the games I have been trying are:

      Empire: Total War (demo)
Age of Empires 3:asian dynasties (demo)
      World in Conflict (demo)
      [I'm shopping on steam, lol]

out of those 3 I was able to get world in conflict to run the most smoothly, but on low graphics setting. even with low graphics setting on the other two they didnt run very well. (and they didn't look very good either :P) this didnt seem correct to me, i didnt think i was gonna suffer so bad for having an old PCI video card slot and a semi old processor, so i was running the benchmark tests when I noticed the severely low complex 3d graphics score.

If this is really a PCI card (and not AGP nor PCI-E) then that will definitely be part of the problem. I didn't think the 8500 chip was available on PCI however.

The bandwidth on the PCI bus varies from 133 to 266Mbytes/sec.
        PCI-E goes from 500 to 8000Mbytes/sec.

I can't say if this is the only issue however.
