Need to bench mark 512MB PC with 2GB PC

Hi

I have users working in 512MB and 2GB RAM system. We are tasked to find out quantitiative analysis on the difference in performance when the users are access / working on different systems on a given day.

Does PassMark software run in the background for a longer period when the users are working with different application and then report back with technical details?

No PerformanceTest, is not a background task. The cost of RAM is cheap (unless you have 1000s of machines to upgrade) & I would have thought it would be almost a no brainer in a business environment.

Remember also that more RAM doesn't make a PC much quicker unless the PC has already run out of RAM (which the exception of disk caching effects). RAM adds capacity to multitask and do large jobs, more than adding speed.
