  • CD Mark - "No device info available"

When I run the CD Mark it does run a full test but says "No device info available". It used to and I can see it in one of my older Baselines with the same hardware. The drive is a Plextor PX-870A.

What can I do to get the drive model info listed again?

The drive model does show up in:
    My Computer-Hardware-Device Manger-DVD/CD-ROM drives.
It is the only CD/DVD drive.
It is on a IDE cable pined as Master
It is connected at the end of the cable.
    PC OS Windows XP SP3

    Thank you.

    Ben

Thanks for reporting this, I believe we have reproduced the problem on a similar set up (XP with SP3).

This information is retrieved from the WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) information and although this part of PerformanceTest has not changed for some time it's possible a windows update or the required permissions to access the information has changed the behaviour.

To verify you have the same problem could you please go to the "Main" tab in PerformanceTest and mouse over the CD Drive to check if the drive information is correctly displayed here.
