  • Help understanding one poor test result

Hello I can a fairly new PC that seems to be running slow and have tried everything to diagnose it. I have run Performance Test and compared the test results and nearly every test seems to be on par with similar systems except one.

My Small Block Memory test yielded a 214.6 nearly 700%+ lower than the lowest system of comparable specs. Can anyone tell me what would cause this, bad chip, system config, etc. or should I move on to some other factor?

    My system: XP Pro SP3, Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz, Memory is two DDR2, 2048MB 800MHZ.

Yes, 214.6 is a very low number.
Did you run it a few times to see if it was a one off.
Can you post the rest of the results.
Have you checked the CPU temperature when under load?

Yes, the other results look pretty much normal.

Your problem might be this issue here,

(maybe there is some software on your system interfering with the zero-page thread background task)
