  • cpu mark calculation

    Hi,

How is calculated overall cpu result from individual tests,
Integer math 20%, FPU 10% etc., i want to find a bottleneck in my laptop because me and my friends have the same machines and the individual tests look similiar and he has 2590 points and me 2310 - processors are the same i3-2310M, but he has an x64bit win7 and me x32

    best regards,

We don't publicly release the overall score calculation formula. But it is more or less a weighted average of all the CPU tests. The weighting is done to give each test an equal influence on a hypothetically average CPU.

However a 32-bit OS will definitely perform slower than a 64-bit OS in the CPU scores. In particular, the Integer Maths test is known to suffer significantly as part of the test involves 64-bit integer maths which performs far faster in a native 64-bit environment.
