*** Problem resolved it seems - upgraded to Win 7 64bit and results now better ***
Hi everyone,
Just built an i5 2500k system and some of the CPU results are way down on other 2500k systems.
My results:
CPU - Integer Math: 614.6
CPU - Floating Point Math: 2365.3
CPU - Find Prime Numbers: 1237.3
CPU - Multimedia Instructions: 24.1
CPU - Compression: 8023.0
CPU - Encryption: 20.2
CPU - Physics: 354.8
CPU - String Sorting: 4541.8
The Integer Maths results is really low, the others are closer to other systems but still some way off. My immediate thought is that the RAM and / or O/S are the cause - I'm only running 4Gb and XP SP3 32bit at the moment, my intention was to see how this performed and then go to 8Gb / Win 7 if need be.
System spec is:
CPU Type: Intel Core i5-2500K @ 3.30GHz
CPU Speed: 3292.2 MHz
Cache size: 256KB
O/S: Windows XP (32-bit)
Total RAM: 2985.2 MB.
Available RAM: 2186.6 MB.
The full results are:

CPU - Encryption: 20.2
CPU - Physics: 354.8
CPU - String Sorting: 4541.8
Graphics 2D - Solid Vectors: 11.6
Graphics 2D - Transparent Vectors: 3.0
