gpu low usage on performance test

I want to know how to make sure the passmark performance test gpu benchmark test will use 99% of a gpu usage.
Thats not what i've been seeing on performance test... my gpu usage is random, and typically 85% on dx11 test, 60% on dx9 test, 99% on dx 10 test, and so on...

Just by chance we were looking at this today. Different tools actually report different GPU utilisation. So it is hard to know what numbers to believe.

You might need to use the advanced test options to get higher GPU load. Increase the screen resolution (4K is good), select the max anti-aliasing option, and increase the scene complexity.
Having a fast CPU will also help push more load onto the GPU.
