  • GTX 1060: Bad 2d Perfomance

Running a passmark test, everything besides Memory and 2D were optimal, and am wondering why the 2d benchmark test weren't up to standard. My score was 509, and for recorded average of this model indicates being 828. I felt it's affected some of my gameplay performance as well (hence why I turned to PerformanceTest in the first place) Any ways to troubleshoot this?

Not all 2D rendering activities are done on the video card. So it is a combination of the CPU and GPU (and for the CPU is it single threaded performance that matters more). A score of 509 isn't so bad for this combination of GPU and CPU. The AMD FX-8350 doesn't have spectacular single threaded performance (nor great memory bandwidth).
