I am getting terrible numbers for this card on my HP Z230 SFF Workstation. Why?

The HP Z230 SFF comes with several graphic options. Integrated, Pro 2D, Entry 3D and mid range 3D. (seemingly there is no option for high end 3D).
The Integrated graphic option is below the entry level 3D. So fairly poor 3D results can be expected. It doesn't seem to support DirectX 12 either so that will add to the pain. Still the 42% percentile isn't all that bad.
(in truth it is a bit of a misnomer to call this type of machine a Workstation) -
That's what I was thinking calling it a workstation. I really don't do much in the way of 3D. What card is good that won't break the bank or is there a link somewhere? Thanks for the response David.Comment

If you don't do any 3D (or any GPU compute work), then you probably don't need a better video card.
A list of the best video cards can be found here.
But you need to also consider,
- Will it fit in your small box
- Does it have the power supply & cabling for the upgrade
- Does it have the cooling
