I'd like to run a pared down bench mark.
How do I create a simple bench mark test using selected tests only and still get a overall grade?

Have a look at the scripting options in the help file.
Maybe you can run just the few tests that you want, then import the result into Excel and make up your own rating system based on a custom sub-set of the tests.
