RX480 3D Mark

Hi,

I bought a MSi RX480 Gaming X 8Go

After Passmark tests, the G3D benchmark is 9076
So, I don't understand why the RX480 is rated 7900 on G3D (high end videocards chart) ? Even if the card is overclocked by MSI (1303 Mhz)

It makes a big difference !

You overclock your CPU and video card, then ask why you get an above average benchmark result?

The cpu plays an important rôle in the tests 3D ?

Yes the CPU can have an impact on the 3D tests. Especially if the CPU is really under powered compared to the video card, or if tests are run on a monitor with low resolution.
