  • Server Crash with V9

I was only wanting to test hard drive performance on my Server:
Xeon E3-1245 v3 16gb Intel Server MB LSI RAID SVR R2008R2
It is also a HyperV Host but the installation was not done on any VM's only the physical
The Server crashed BSOD ~ I only got as far as to start to select the disk test ~ I did not.

    Any reasons for Crash?
On reboot when I tried to start the Ptest v9 it only said it could not start error 9.
    I uninstalled.

Incidentally, I was able to successfully test one of my other new servers:
Xeon E-5-2630v4 32gb ASRock (Intel C612 chipset) non-RAID but PCIE NVMe drive OS SVR 2016

    Any Help?

Did you happen to get what the BSOD code was?

Startup errors can possibly indicate corruption. Can you try, uninstalling PerofrmanceTest, delete the following folder C:\ProgramData\PassMark\PerformanceTest9, download the latest release of software and reinstall PerformanceTest.

Consider running PerformanceTest in debug mode, recreate the crash, and send in the logs. This might give us a hint of where the issue is.

I didn't have a monitor hooked up at the time ~ I was managing through remote desktop,
I will retry in debug mode.
