I'm finally upgrading my 7 year old system and just added a new graphics card. I was very surprised to see how low the test score came out though compared to results of the same card. I can only guess that there is more to a test than the card itself and was hoping someone would agree or at least advise me on what I'm doing wrong to not get similar results.
Current system is an AMD Phenom II 965 black running at 3.4GH, 8GB DDR2 ram, PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot, Sata2 SSD drive with Windows 10. The new graphics card is an EVGA 1060 SSC 6GB.
My 3DMark score comes in at 5500. I'm only running at 1920x1080 so I take a 60% hit for DX12 giving me a score of 25. I found this very odd considering the majority score for this card is 9700.
Can someone advise? I'm guessing I should just expect better scores when I complete the upgrade.
(future cpu will probably be an FX-8250, new MB and DDR3 ram)
