Hey brother,
I purchased a license for Performance Test v7 (about time) and I am very happy of course. I'm having a hard time understanding what changed. I first noticed when you cleaned up the top 20 list. I had a system on there that was 8th place for a few days. i7-2700K @ 5.1GHz, GTX 670 on the original driver, 16GB DDR3 2133 RAM, 120GB Mushkin Chronos Deluxe x2 in RAID 0. Submitted May 11, 2012 at 2100 Eastern Time (US). I don't have the baseline number but these are the scores from the screenshot I kept:
PassMark Rating: 7971.7
CPU: 13463.6
2D Graphics: 1359.0
3D Graphics: 4939.7
Memory: 5888.1
Before the changes I was in 8th Place with the 7971.7, and had the 4th best i7-2700k score of all time as of that day based on the scores you were kind enough to give me a while back.
When the top 20 list was changed it went away. The system made a hybrid baseline that cut the GTX 670 out, put the 560 Ti back in, and doesn't make sense to me. It's on the board now.
BL# 629255 Score 7698.55
I barely beat this rogue baseline after 15 BSODs and several attempts (Score 7760) but the system will not allow me to upload it due to the recent submission of the Score 7403.2.
Okay I'm dragging this out I apologize.
Bottom Line:
-Replaced i7-2700k with i7-3770k (New CPU Mark 13282.3)
-Same RAM, 6% lower score (Could be because of i7-3770k @ 4.9GHz vs i7-2700k @ 5.1GHz)
200 MHz on the CPU clock cannot justify a 600 point decrease in scores, can it?
I know there are major changes coming with Version 8, I'm just scratching my head trying to figure out my issue. If 0.2GHz and change from 2700k to 3770k can make a 600 point decrease then that's what it is. I see a lot of baselines on that list went away. Can you help put my geek mind at ease please? Most people reading this will probably shake their heads, but this is my hobby and...well you understand.
Thank you in advance for everything
