Performance Test fail 64 goes black on 8X sample test (floating Islands)

Hi,
Just built a new PC and trying to tune with Performance Test.
All runs well on performance test until the 8X sample 3d test begin (floating islands in the sky)
Screen goes black and PC seems to be locked.

I'm running Win 7 64, Asus P8H77-MPro, I7 3770 with 8 Gig.
Using Radeon 6800 series graphic card.

Does it ever recover if you wait 3min? Can you Alt-tab (or CTRL-ALT-DEL) back to the desktop? If you can get back to the desktop then you might find there is an error message of some sort.
Or has it really locked up the entire machine.

If the entire machine has locked up then you have a hardware issue or device driver issue. In which case start with the usual stuff,
- Check for BIOS updates
- Check for overheating
- Check for new video card drivers
- Check power supply is large enough
