  • Wrong ram speed?

I have been checking my ram speed I have 8 gigs ddr3 1866mhz. If i check it with cpuz it shows it is running at 1866 but performance test is showing 667mhz and the mem test is hurting my overall score. any ideas?

    These are my specs

    MSI 970A-G46 9 Series AM3+ Motherboard
    Corsair Vengeance 8GB PC15000 DDR3 1866MHz CL9 2x4
    AMD FX-8120 X8 3100MHZ 16MB 125W
    Asus Radeon HD 7750 1GB DDR5 PCIe
    Kingston V+200 120GB SATA III SSD 7MM
Seagate 1TB Serial ATA HD 7200/64MB

I have run tests on Windows 7 HP 64 and XP pro 64 both show the 667 mhz

Is this PerformanceTest V7 or V8?
The memory type detection function was completely re-written in V8 and should be more accurate now. The memory test was also redone to be less dependent on the CPU. So you might like to try out PT8.
