  • 3770k score on the lowside, even after overclock

    Hey Guys,
I can't seem to get my 3770k to match the baseline score of the 3770k at 3.5 ghz, even when i overclock to 4.1. Baseline score is 10385, my score is 9255. Any ideas why I'm so much lower?

    Build:
3770k turbo Overclocked to 4.1, voltage on auto
16 GB corsair 1600 mhz CAS 10 Ram
    Biostar tz77xe3 mobo
    gtx 670

    bios edits:
    XMP spec set for RAM
Turbo set to 41 for all 4 cores
Voltage changed from SPEC to auto

What version of PerformanceTest are you using?
    Are you using 32bit or 64bit O/S?

I assume what you think is the latest version is, V8.0 (Build 1006)? We see some people thinking they are on the latest release when in fact they aren't.

The average CPUMark of 3770K results is in fact 9627.

So in fact you are only 3.8% below the average.

Thank you for your responses, it's really appreciated.

          Yeah, I'm running V8.0 build 1006.

I read through the article, but still don't see why my rating is so off (remember, my 9200 score is with a 4.1 overclock)

This is a fresh install, latest nvidia drivers installed, no bloatware, etc. Without the overclock my score is in the low 8000's.

I've also tried running the benchmark with aero disabled with no real gains.
