Performance Benchmark, Disk mark data?

Hi there newbie001 here, I noticed when running the benchmark test 9, 10 times in a row. the first 5 with the network switched on, and the second 5 with it switched off. It seems that the Disk mark score is overly effected by this. can anyone tell me why? its the same device and nothing seemed to be going on in the background.

Might not be effected by the network. it might just be the order you ran the tests in. e.g. it could be a caching effect.
Or maybe something was downloading in the background, when the network was available, how would you know?
