Regarding GPU Benchmarks

I bought recently Sapphire AMD HD 7770 OC GHz edition. According to passmark G3D benchmark, my GPC ranks the 23rd, performing better than some GPU's like 6950, 6870, 6850 and others. According to other Benchmark sites like futuremark and according to user's reviews online on different sites, they all confirm that those other GPUs are much better than 7770.. I am confused now.. in what aspect is 7770 better and in what aspect is it worse? Thank you in advance.

The performance depends on what game / benchmark you are looking at.
Some games (and versions of DirectX) prefer certain cards over others.

For example here are some results from Tom's Hardware,

AMD Radeon HD 7770: 63 FPS
MSI Radeon HD 6950: 49 FPS
MSI Radeon HD 6870: 47 FPS
AMD Radeon HD 6850: 43 FPS


Which lines up reasonable well with our results. So you can't really make a blanket statement.

Thank you for reply, according to Tom's hardware Radeon HD 7750 scores 72 FPS more than HD 7770.. I can't get it..

well I tried my 7770 with (NFS the run) with Ultra graphics and it worked pretty smooth with i5 3470, 4 gb rams.. which according to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI I am not passing the recommended requirements because my VGA card is supposed to be lower in performance than ATI Radeon HD 6950/ Nvidia geforce GTX 560 which are supposed to be better cards. Till now i am happy with my card and I hope its really that good according to your benchmark and better than the rest

I ran the performance test 8.0(build 1009) and the previous one (build 100 many times on my PC and i always get 3D graphic mark rating 2500+ for my AMD 7770, while i see it on the benchmark list scoring 2081. Am I getting confused in some way or is there something wrong in the benchmark list?
