intel hd4000 vs 9600GT, WHY!!!

hello guys im really confused here.
my macbook pro retina has intel hd400, the bench mark is 471
provided by your website here

my old pc acer8930 has graphic card geforce 9600gt, benchmark 369

however my old pc with 369benchmark runs wayy smoother and on higher setting when playing on the same game

The most likely explanation is that you are running the game at a higher resolution on the Macbook Pro. The retina's resolution of 2560 x 1600 is way too high to play any video game on. What you need to do is lower the resolution to something more managable, such as 1280 x 800, and you'll see much better performance.

If that doesn't work, the only other possible reason could be that you're running the game on Mac OS, whereas it may be more optimized to run on Windows... but I doubt the difference would be that huge. Anyway, it's worth a shot trying to run it on Windows, if changing the resolution doesn't help.

Yes, might also be a DirectX vs OpenGL driver issue.
