    "Graphics 2D - Windows Interface" Windows 7 vs Windows 8 same hardware results?

    Hi, I read somewhere that finally Windows 8 was restoring back full hardware accelerated GDI support, but I could not find any results by myself.

    Can someone post his "Graphics 2D - Windows Interface" results in both Windows 7 & 8 using the same hardware?

    I keep using XP more than 10 year after its release just because of the terrible slow GDI in Vista and . Maybe finally is time to upgrade

      We didn't see any great improvement in Win8's 2D performance.

      At best it seems to be the same as Win7. This is despite the desktop interface in Win8 being plainer than Win7.

          What a pity. I'm losing the faith in Microsoft with each new Windows version.
