  • Lower than Expected 2D Score

I just changed out my Nvidia GTX 460 with a EVGA GTX 760 Super Overclocked card and will all the 3D score went way up, the 2D score went to about half (of the 460.) Tried the latest PT build, x64, with no change.

The only change to my computer was the 760, so it's a bit puzzling. This seems to be a rather common comment -- seems the 2D varies quite a bit for many.

[edit] I see I have a real old signature.... I'll update it and hopefully it will update on this thread. Okay, it did.

The video card vendors don't greatly care about 2D performance. They care even less about Windows XP 64bit, which is super rare now. So it is very likely no testing an optimisation was done in the video card drivers.

Some of the cheaper cards have better 2D performance that the more expensive ones.
