Hi,
Need some advise. Upgraded recently to a new pair of Corsair Vengeance memory 2x8GB, CML16GX3M2A1600C10.
Memory is rated 1600MHz CL10 1.5V, checked Corsair page and it says "Tested Latency 10-10-10-27".
Performance Test however is giving a ridiculously low rating for Memory Latency, at 6%. Sure the PC is not the newest, and there are plenty of DDR4 memory around, still 6% looks suspiciously low. Both "memory latency" and "uncached memory read" are very low, 6% and 12%; all other benchmarks are at 50%+ including cached memory, which seem allright to me.
The PC is Intel i5-3470, HP Compaq Pro 6300 FF, I have read AMD PCs are slower, but this is Intel!!! Should support DDR3 1333/1600, CPU Z is showing the Mhz is closer to 1333 range than 1600, which I am still fine with, as this is not a performance desktop, only that 6% is seriously low.
Any idea - could it be a testing issue? Settings? Or a faulty ram module? On real world tasks I don't see any drop in performance, only this benchmark, and RMA would take 1-2 weeks, so I am wondering.
Thanks!
