  • Windows shuts down when I run Passmark

    Hello,
About 2/5 times, my processor is shutting down while running passmark. Sometimes it is as soon as the welcome screen comes up and Passmark starts gathering information about system. In other cases it is during a test. If I physically remove a particular mini-PCI device from the system, the random shutdowns seem to not occur any more.

Is there a way I can get debug information to help me figure out what could be going on. I am particularly interested in passmark interactions with the PCI-e lane devices.

The drivers for the above device are not installed on the system either, when Passmark is run. So I am not exactly sure how the presence of a device and running Passmark, causes the system to shutdown frequently.

    Any thoughts, suggestions welcome.

    thanks.

You can run PerformanceTest in debug mode to collect a log of the startup process, then send us the log. See this page for details.

It probably won't fix whatever the problem is with your PCI-E card, but it might give some insight.

What kind of card is it?
