SMBIOS scan at startup causing crash

Seems this started two updates ago though I can't say 100%. All was fine but now the program crashes (a 'blip' - just disappears) when scanning SMBIOS at start. I excluded this scan from startup - this prevents the crash. I've tried it on 3 systems, all Intel i5 3rd & 4th gen - same on each. Any idea? Thanks
