  • Low performance 770 - suspicion something is wrong.

Hi guys, I recently bought a MSI GTX 770 Gaming Edition to get some better performance in current games. While in most new games i quite happy (cryengine 3 games) in some older games (Battlefield 2 & Planetside 2) I get pretty bad performance where my old card was doing much better (GTX 460).

    My setup:
    i5 3570k @3.4Ghz
    Asrock Z77 Pro4-M Motherboard
    8GB DDR3 1600
NVIDEA GeForce GTX770 2GB (not OC)

    Scores:
    Passmark Rating: 1770 (seems low)
    CPU mark: 7684(seems ok!)
    2D Graphics: 640 (seems ok)
3D Graphics mark: 365.1 (Seems extremely low,the 680 has 1365% more..., which is slightly worse then a 770)
    Memory : 2373 (seems ok!)
Disk: 880 (seems ok for HDD and not SSD)

I have a feeling that it might be using either my internal graphics card (intel 4000) or that something got corrupted in my driver. Or that the card is simply malfunctioning.

    Some more specific 3D scores:
    DirectX9 Simple: 68.4 (680 does 444% better)
    Directx9 Complex: 12.0 (680 does 808% better)
    DirectX11: 123.6 (seems ok, 6% better then 680)
DirectCompute: 2585 (seems ok, 4% less then 680)

I compare to 680 as it's an extremely similar card.

I hope you guys can help me with your insight. If this is the wrong forum I apologize.

Try disabling the built in Intel graphics in BIOS.
Try updating your video card device driver to the current driver.
