  • PerformanceTest V10 Alpha 2D PDF Error Question

    Team,

Super excited to see the progress with the V10 Alpha, I just had one hiccup during the test, if you could advise.

During the 2D portion, the newly added "PDF" section fails right away for me with "Error -1" Do you have any insight on what I could do to resolve? Specs are below and thanks!!!!

Thanks for help testing V10. Error -1 is possibly a setup error. The PDF test runs a separate .exe to conduct the test, PT-PDFTest.exe to conduct the testing.

Can run PerformanceTest in debug mode? There may be more information in the debug log to help narrow down the problem area.

We believe we have fixed this error and will likely put out a new Alpha release soon with the fix.

That's fantastic news, thank you. I'll be looking forward to it.

I have another question and am happy to open it in a new thread if necessary:

          **Overall Score Formula**
-How is overall score calculated? As an example, I have a friend with a 9900K, 1080 ti, with similar memory/disks. My CPU score is substantially higher and the rest of the scores are nearly the same, and we end up with nearly the same Overall Score. I apologize for the quality of the below photos and can provide actual logs if it helps but below you’ll see his 9900k system score along with my 7940x based system below that

The score is calculated so that a single extremely high value shouldn't significantly influence the final score, in this case your CPU mark is a lot higher but your 2D, 3D, Memory and Disk scores are all slightly lower.

Please see the "The PassMark Rating" section of the help file (under the "Interpreting the Results" section), this outlines the formula used to calculate the overall rating.
