PerformanceTest is reading the wrong Drive. Also bringing up not enough space error.

It is saying "Drive Letter (Number)."
Model Number: E: IHAS124 C

Instead of my actual Sata Drive C.

Also says, "There is not enough disk space on drive 6 to run this disk test".

I am not even sure what Drive 6 is. I don't even see the IHAS124 on My Computer list or Drive Manager.

How can I fix this?

---Edit: IHAS124 is my DVD Drive, but it is E. Not C. As far as I know. There is nothing I can see that would cause the program to think it is C.

----Edit2: I hit properties on my DVD Drive and it says under Hardware Tab, "Atapi IHAS124 C ATA Device".

I do not know why I never set that drive to C. I am not sure how to fix this problem.

---EDIT3: I manually selected under, "Edit-Preferences" and chose C: [Local Drive] and it still ended up running the test on the E Drive. I don't know what to do.

Could you please run PerformanceTest in debug mode (http://www.passmark.com/support/ptdebug.htm), try to run the test again and then send us a copy of the log files (http://www.passmark.com/about/contact_us.htm) so we can see how the devices are being detected.

If you could send us a screenshot of the drives listed for the "Drive under test" drop down in the preferences that would be great too.

It seems strange that the drive would be referenced as a number rather than the expected letter during the standard disk test as this represents a physical drive on the system. Normally these are only displayed as part of the advanced disk test settings, if you go into the advanced disk test and click the "Add thread" button you should see a list of the physical drives available for the system.

I had version 7 installed of PerformanceTest. Installed the latest version 8. But I think I am getting a low rating because it is saying my Physical Drive 1 is my old SSD. Which is not true cause I got my new SSD plugged into slot 1, and on Disk Management Disk 0 is my new SSD. I should be getting higher ratings.

Note: The Old SSD is the "SAMSUNG SSD PM800 Series 2.5" 256GB ATA Device"
My new SSD is the "ST240HM000-1G5152 ATA Device" from Seagate.
My other drive is a 2T HDD. "ST2000DM001-1CH164 ATA Device"

I will still do as asked.

EDIT: I sent the emails. I can't seem to attach txt files so I will attach the image instead.

Is there somewhere you'd like me to post the txt files?
