Slow AMD FX-8320

Just installed AMD FX-8320 and Passmark score is 1700 and according to benchmarks should be around 8100. System - Windows XP, ASU Sabertooth 990fx MB with correct bios and Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 video SLI. Perferences shows 8 processes and task maanger shows 8 cores. Under CPU MArk tab all of the tests are a lot less than the ones shown for AMD FX-8350. Do I have a bad CPU or what is wrong?

Temp not issue - 51C when running test
