  • Low graphics benchmark w/new GeForce GTX 1660 in Precision T5600

    Hello,

I just purchased and installed a new EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 SC Ultra Gaming video card, P/N: 06G-P4-1067-KR, in my Dell Precision T5600 workstation. According to Passmark's GPU Benchmark website, this video card should produce a benchmark score around 11,000. However, I'm only getting ~7,000. I have the card installed in a PCIe 3.0 16x slot and have connected the 8-pin power cable. I've re-installed the OS, Windows 10 Pro, twice and used the current Nvidia driver. What am I missing? Is there any way to troubleshoot the performance issue?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rob

    P.S. -

I just built this system based on this article:

What CPU & RAM are you running?
    Is this with ECC RAM?
What's the resolution of your monitor?

I am having the same issue... d3d passmark is 7140 which is slower than a 1060
interestingly..dx9 and 10 seem to be locked at 60fps, while 11 and 12 are not which could be affecting scores (also I am penalized 60% for not having a 4k display on the dx12 test)
on the 2s test image rendering is 3, a 1060 is 423, so something is not quite right somewhere

Probably bad device driver settings limiting frame rate to monitor refresh rate.

Im having super low 2d and 3d graphic scores with my 1660ti AMP card also. 8 pin power connector in it.

My 2d score is around 151
My 3d score is barely 5,000

            I have the latest driver.
            144hz freesync monitor 1080p

ryzen 5 1600 cpu. Ive ran stock and different speeds no difference.
8GB RAM single stick. Ive ran at different speeds no difference.
