  • Help! why are clock speeds so low.

I have an Intel Xeon e3-1230v2 that seems to be underachieving.

Clock speeds are super low (1.5ghz)

    Here's my passmark baseline
    http://www.passmark.com/baselines/V8...id=22001658999

    I have eliminated the following
Disk Clutter, spyware, virus, C1E bottleneck, low gpu power, slow hard disk, and my bios settings are for performance...
Even when I run passmark and games the CPU Z doesn't show much change.

The only thing i can think of is my memory being slow. (667mhz)

Can anyone shed some light on why my cpu is such a poor performer? i know benchmarks are average, but my score is significantly low.

    Thanks!

I can't really comment on CPU-Z and the 1.5Ghz figure it displays. I don't know how they collect their data.
But our PerformanceTest software shows the CPU at 3.29GHz which is correct for a 3.3Ghz CPU. So I don't think it is the clock speed that is the issue.
