Threadripper 2950X locks up in CPU test

Computer does a hard lockup (no keyboard, no mouse, ctrl+alt+delete doesn't work) when running CPU tests Compression & Physics. All other CPU tests run fine.
All other tests GPU, Memory, Disk run fine.
Any idea why Compression & Physics lock up the computer. Could I have a bad CPU? Or is this just a Treadripper issue?

There is no compatibility problem with Threadripper. We have a couple of them and they don't give any problems like this.

So very likely it is a hardware failure.
Check CPU temperatures, check RAM with MemTest86.
Stop overclocking if you are overlocking.
