Score anomaly -- Stock RTX 2080 Ti FE scoring higher than RTX 3090

RTX 2080 Ti founders edition scoring ridiculously high.
I last tested the card about 6 months ago or more and it scored 24036 originally on 3d
Now it's scoring 26321, which his higher than an RTX 3090. any ideas what's going on?

The founders edition cards are overlocked. So no real surprise it performs well.

Might be new device driver versions over the last 6 months improved performance. More testing would be required to be sure.

Yes, I get exactly the same with a 3070: it normally operates at the 26k level, but I have pushed it to 27k. All stock aircooling. I consider the 2080Ti to be more performant in benchmarks, due to its increased memory. You aren't using a 4k monitor by any chance? Or a high refresh monitor? Regards.
