  • Linux Performancetest will instantly freeze with Porteus

    Hi,

    as suggested by your website, i downloaded Porteus-KDE-v5.0-x86_64.iso and boot it.

    I downloaded your latest performance test and started it.

    The result is an instant freezed application.

    So i run the application and instantly comes the summary with an incomplete result that has not been submitted.

    There are no error messages or what so ever. Just this instantly.

    And by the way, your burinintest from cmd line will give: libtinfo.so.5 No such file or directory...

    Greetings
    Oliver

    The tests don't start automatically and it looks like the console here can't display enough lines to show the command keys;

    Use ESC or CTRL-C to exit
    A: Run All Tests C: Run CPU Tests M: Run Memory Tests U: Upload Test Results

    you can also launch PerformanceTest with the command line parameter -r 3 to launch all tests automatically.

    Some distributions split the ncurses library into several files and others use a single file. If you are missing the libtinfo library you can create a link from the ncurses library to it. When using a 64 bit version of linux and running bit_cmd_line_x64 you would need to link the 64 bit libraries eg;

    ln -s /lib64/libncurses.so.5 /lib64/libtinfo.so.5
    ln -s /lib64/libtinfo.so.5 /lib64/libtinfo.so
