  • How did i do? - Intel x6800 CPU Score 1286

I got 1286 with this system:

    x6800 @ 3.6Ghz (9*400Mhz FSB) - Vcore = 1.4v - stock intel cooler, all other voltages and speeds stock

    CPU: x6800 Stepping B2
    Cooler: Retail Intel
    TIM: Artic Silver 5
    Mobo: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4
    RAM: Corsair XMS2 PC6400 (2 * 1024mb)
    HD: 2 * WD Raptor 150G in RAID 0
    GFX: MSI 7900 GTX 512mb
    Optical: Plextor 760 18x
Antec Server Case with TP2.0 550w PSU

I think i can go higher, i managed 3.67Ghz (11*333) but the (9*400) was faster.

I had a look at the highest ever, how does one get to 1400, lol

    Thanks

Here are the spec's from a machine that got over 1400.
(Thanks to Mike U. for submitting this information)

Intel Core 2 Duo 6400 processor
    Asus P5WDG2 WS Professional motherboard
    4 Patriot DDR2-8000+XBL 512 meg memory
2 eVGA Geforce 7900 GT video cards, using modded nVidia 84.43 drivers
for 975x SLI, with SLI off for Passmark 6.0 testing
    Dell 2001FP TFT LCD monitor
    Adaptec ASC-44300 SAS/SATA PCI-X controller
4 Hitachi Ultrastar 15k 36 gig SAS hard drives in RAID 0 array
    Plextor PX-716A SATA DVDR drive
Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Music sound card
    Windows XP Professional

In particular, note the four Ultrastar 15k hard drives in RAID. This significantly helped with the score. It makes my PC with only one 10K SCSI drive and Xeon CPU look rather geriatric.
