  • CPU Mark uses only E-cores in Windows 11

    My CPU is Core i3-1215U (2 p-cores with HT, 4 e-cores)
When I run PerformanceTest 10.2 CPU Mark in Windows 10 I get the result something like ~12000. When I run the same test in Windows 11 the result is ~7000.
I noticed that in Win10 the test utilizes only P-cores according to Task Manager. And in Win11 it utilizes only E-cores. When I force Core Affinity in Win11 task manager to P-cores only... I get the same result ~7000.
What should I do to force CPU Mark utilize all cores or at lest to get the same result as in Win10?

PerformanceTest V10 is old now. It was developed before the concept of P and E cores existed. As it doesn't know anything about P&E cores, it is up the operating system to decide what cores to use. (but it seems unlikely that 2 P cores are 50% faster, in total, than 4 E cores). My understanding is that Windows 10 was also less aware of the P&E core difference compared to Win11.

Can you try PerformanceTest V11 instead.
