  • Graphics tests and mouse oddity

I have PT V6 and find it works oddly during the graphics test.
When running the 3D tests it shows up the most.
If the mouse pointer is *not* positioned in the test window I get ridiculusly low fps results. For example, running the Simple test, mouse outside the window - 7fps. Mouse in the window - 2000fps.
    Any thoughts on this?

This is not normal behaviour at all. Note that when the mouse is in the 3D window, it should be hidden. Because no one else has reported this problem and it doesn't happen on any of our test machines, it is likely that it is something special about your machine.

For example I get around 640fps with the mouse in or out.

Maybe you have some software on your machine that is tracking your mouse movements or doing something fancy like and animated mouse cursor and so the performance improves once we switch off the cursor.

Interesting. The cursor does disappear when inside the window. I'll check your suggestions and report back if I find anything.
