  • Help! I just ran PC doctor and came up with a hdd error.

The system's been slow (HP Pavilion) since purchase, but now it's not always booting up (I am working on this pc for a relative). I ran PC doctor and came up with an error HD535-4. This is a hard drive track to track seek error on a Samsung SP1604N hdd. I'm trying to find out how serious this is, but I can't find much on the internet. Does this call for a hard drive replacement, or would a low level format and reinstall fix this?

The system's only about 2 years old and has run slow since the beginning.

    I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Run our DiskCheckup software to check the SMART paramaters for the hard drive.
