  • Slightly slow? - 5140 Xeons

I'm a bit surprised that my test result is so slow - 1253.8, seems to be let down by the CPU and RAM ratings which is odd as it's got 2 x 5140 Xeons i.e. 4 core @ 2.66

How do I post the values here so you can have a look - as an image?

    regards

    Paul

In V6.1 of PerformanceTest you can use the File / Export function to get a text file and then you can paste the result into a post.

I actually think you CPU result is pretty good.

        My CPU Mark was: 1048.8

        CPU - Integer Math: 209.2
CPU - Floating Point Math: 612.8
CPU - Find Prime Numbers: 243.6
        CPU - SSE/3DNow!: 3567.1
        CPU - Compression: 5660.0
        CPU - Encryption: 38.5
        CPU - Image Rotation: 785.7
        CPU - String Sorting: 2054.9

        CPU Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
        Number of CPU: 2
        (1 Core(s)/CPU, 2 Logical(s)/Core)
        CPU Type: Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.40GHz

I have the older generation Xeons (Dual CPUs, with HT to have 4 virtual CPUs), which had a higher clock rate but were less efficient than your newer Core 2 based Xeons.
