  • Why so low with 8800 gts and E6600?

My score of 729.1 seems kinda low for what I have. I'm using Vista but disabled Aero while I ran the test...also made sure I didnt have any extra processes running. Also disabled any anti virus, firewall, etc.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I have not overclocked anything. TIA.

The result doesn't look too bad. Here are my results from a similar machine with Vista, E6600 CPU and 2GB RAM and Aero turned ON. (excluding the CD test in my case).

Maybe you were expecting something better from the GeForce 8800. I think nVidia are still having problems getting good device drviers done for Vista.

Also, maybe your disk is a little slow.
