  • Very low simple and medium graphics score

Hey everyone, I ran all the tests and got a 299.8. My scores for simple and medium 3d graphics were quite abysmal - 4.5 fps on the simple, and 3.0 fps on the medium. On the complex, I had around 30 fps.

Also, I had no other processes running except objectdock, but strangely enough it says i only had 1127.8 available ram out of 1.5 gigs...Ive checked for spyware/virsues/adware/malware many times and have always cleaned whatever I had.

Games run ok, in particular World of Warcraft runs consitently above 40 FPS with most of the high options on which is good, but i just find it strange that I have such low scores on these tests. I have the latest version of Direct X, however I'm not too sure about my Video card drivers because Gateway has their own drivers for their laptops with the Radeon X600 in it. For all I know, I could be using the wrong drivers, I am using the ones that I downloaded off of the Gateway website and it says its the most recent update.

The available RAM number looks about right. Windows and the disk cache can use up 100MB's of RAM.

The 3D result is low. But the complex (full screen 3D) test is OK. Normally the simple test gets higher frame rates than the complex test. But your machine is the reverse.

It is only the '3D in a window' tests that are bad. I am guessing that if you ran WoW in a window (and not full screen) the performance of WoW would also be abysmal.

I do think it is most likely a driver issue.
