HTML editor - loses word doc formating

The testlog HTML editor has a problem with copy and paste from Microsoft word docs.

We would like to migrate our high level test plan from the Microsoft Word doc it is currently in. This is a 50 page document.

The HTML editor is able to cope initially with the copy and paste and retain the formatting of the document. But when you save and close, and then open the editor again, the formating has been lost. It seems the editor cannot parse the microsoft word formatting correctly.

HTML isn't really flexible enough to correctly represent all the formating options in a Word document.

You could maybe save the document in HTML format from Word, then paste in the HTML source code. But to ne honest I don't recomend this either as the Save as HTML feature in MS Word as never worked very well and doesn't generate clean HTML.

So you could copy across the text, then reformat it. Or maybe just link to the Word document as an external document.
