For our project we have to test a large number of device drivers. We have structed the tree like the example below.
alcatel --> 7330 Drivers --> 2.2 Driver -->Test Case 1 ,Test Case 2
The tree continues like the structure above, with the different vendors and os's we support.
However we find there is a large amount of work involved making the test case id's unique. We would like the test case id to inherit its name from the folder it is placed in. For example 'Alcatel 7330 Drivers 2.2 Driver Test Case 1'.
Would it be possible in testlog to implement intelligence in the ID field, so that if a test case is dragged and droped into a folder it creates an id field based on the folder names above it?
