Maximum Length of Fields in Test Cases and Project test Cases

Can you please provide the Maximum Length of Fields in Test Cases and Project test Cases, i cannot find the same provided in Help.

There are a lot of fields, and so for some the length doesn't make sense (like dates). Which fields are you interested in?

Multi line fields are generally restricted to 40000 characters (this can sometimes be affected by underlying formatting information added by TestLog when saving).

I found this in Import test Cases help i guess this must be same while creting Test Cases or Project Test Cases as well

Hi,

We need to know about the Maximum Lenght of the field "Test Description and Steps" while creating Test Cases and Project Test Cases, it is restricted to 40000 charecters i guess.

Is there any way we can increase it. can we enter Test Description of more than 40000 Charecters by some workaround?

It may be possible to import more than this limit by importing test cases from CSV format but if they were opened for editing in TestLog the data would be truncated as 40000 is the maximum number of characters that will be displayed in one of the rich edit fields.
