TestLog: Unable to open file for editing. Access is denied.

    Hi,

I am unable to edit testcases written by another tester in the database. I have full admin rights to the Db (full admin rights in Advanced Tab), and I'm opening the Database manually across the network. When I try to update a testcase written by another tester I get the following error 'Unable to open file for editing. Access is denied.'

This user was originally a user on the system, but he was deleted as a user, I tried adding him back to no avail.

    Can you help please

    cheers

The "database" is actually a collection of XML file in the Windows file system. You can use Windows Explorer to browse these XML files. So if you have having problems opening a file, then it is the Windows file permissions that are at fault. There will be nothing you can do in Testlog itself to fix this.
