Not specifically a Testlog problem, but others may have experience here.
We have have been using Testlog for generating test cases and tracking test progress. We are also now working on ISO9001 certification. My QA guy has a preference for approving test plans as documents, and then, once approved, we perform the test as written. In TestLog, it is very easy to change tests on the fly.
Our current approach is to store test procedures in the test case folder, and each time we need to create a new test plan, we create a new project and add any necessary tests. We print off the report, get it approved, and perform the tests. I also use a source control database to check the test folders in an out to track changes to tests. Unfortunately, I have to check out a test project to enter test status and results, which also allows me to edit tests after they have been approved.
Does anyone have experience using Testlog in an ISO9001 environment and wish to describe how it is used there?
Steve
