    GPS & Signal Strength Maps

    Hi,
We are building a wireless mesh network in our city and we are looking for a product that we can use the map the network coverage.
We have used netstumbler and a gps device to plot data, however it only records the co-ordinates for the strongest signal strength. We are looking for software that will log the co-ordinates when it:
    Sees the AP
    Reaches maximum strength
    Stops seeing the AP

    Does your software do this?

    Cheers,
    Adrian

The signal strength from all AP's are recorded at each 'hex' position on the map. You can then select which AP to display from a drop down list.

I would suggest trying out the free version of the software first.

I am using WirelessMon to survey a mesh network, i have found it is very helpful and easy to use.
The only problem i have found that with each node having a different MAC address, and the mesh network i am using covering most of a city cbd, i have to go and include alot of MAC's. It would be better if i could just include everything with "x" ssid.
