  • Problem getting map from Google

I tried to capture a map from Google this weekend. Got it into Wirelessmon and did the two calibration points (upper-left and lower right) on the map. When I drove around, the path that showed up on the map didnt match the route that I drove. Is there a trick to this that I am missing ?

Was the map north aligned (north at the top of the map)? The accuracy of the GPS at the time could also be affecting the results (eg if it is a heavily built up urban area).

If you saved the result as a project file (or can re-enter the co-ordinates and then save it) and can send the project file and the map to me (timr [at] passmark [dot] com) so i can check it out that would be great.

I used the map as I got it from Google. I didnt see an option to view the map with a northward orientation.

I did save it as a project file and will forward that to you when I get home.

      Thanks,
      Ron
