How does the map function work?

Does it automatically create a map for you??

Just bought PRO, wondering how it works...

Any help is appreciated.

I have drawn a map myself but shouldn't it automatically create maps for you with GPS??

Can't figure out how to get it to work.

The map tab needs a pre-existing map to use and will overlay an image representing signal strength, if the GPS location of the map is set then WirelessMon will use the GPS signal and add a sample to the map at that point.

Well I can't get GPS to work!

Is the problem that WirelessMon doesn't seem to be getting information from the GPS or that the samples being taken don't appear in the expected spot?

In the General options in the GPS section there is a "Log raw data" option, if you enable this option WirelessMon will create a serialLog.txt with the raw data received from the GPS, if you could post the last few lines of it here it should show if there any problems with the GPS connection.
