Something else you can check, if you open the services, go to the Wireless Zero Configuration properties and click on the Log On tab. This has a list of hardware profiles the service can be enabled / disabled for, please make sure it is enabled for the various profiles, having it disabled will produce the same error message you are getting.

        Tried that got same results.

        Any other ideas ?

The last idea i can think of is if you go into ProSet, under the advanced menu select "Use windows to manage Wi-Fi", perhaps something with ProSet has turned off or blocked the service in some way and it needs to be re-enabled through ProSet.

If anyone else has experienced a similar problem and has any insight it would be welcome.

Removed ProSet could not get online with either card.

            End Result,

Formatted drive reloaded windows, & apps.

            Problem resolved.

Sorry, I am 2 days late for this to matter

I wish I had seen this sooner.

I am not sure if this is the cause of the problem you had, but I have seen it in other cases and the results were the same.

Basically, for some reason (a virus, etc.), something has disabled the NDIS service from starting.

However, you cannot see this protocol service listed in the enumeration of services in control panel.

What you have to do is go into the registry and navigate to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Ndisuio

In this key there is an entry named Start and its value must be 3 in order for the NDIS Usermode I/O Protocol to start properly.

A virus such as Bagle will change this entry to 4 (disabled) and cause the exact problem you were experiencing.

Sorry I couldn't help you, but maybe someone in the future will come across this forum having the same problem.
